Research and Literature
The following documents provide summaries of a variety of research articles across multiple disciplines that demonstrate evidence supporting the principles that A. Jean Ayres proposed in her approach. These summaries have been collated by the SIGN research committee and comes from the National Library of Medicine. As such, the information is provided for your personal use and should not be redistributed. The SIGN research committee is currently made up of individuals who have volunteered to assist in providing this material. The group has searched literature from a variety of fields primarily via Medline and PsycLit and primarily with an emphasis on the last 5 years. These summaries are not complete research reviews – merely brief highlights of articles that are included. Readers are suggested to obtain the articles for themselves to read in entirety if the topic is of interest. Inclusion of the summary by SIGN is for informational purposes only.
